Best to ring to make booking.
Booking was not easy on line as kept getting error message even though it said 9 places left. Turned out there weren’t any more places as there was some trouble with hotel.
When I spoke to someone she was very helpful but even then the telephone system wasn’t straight forward and I kept getting an interrupted line.
Hope the holiday turns out better.

We stayed in The Cabin Hotel in…
We stayed in The Cabin Hotel in Iceland. DO NOT STAY THERE.
I paid extra for a supposed superior room. In my view it was very basic and not worth paying extra for. On the second day of our stay a party of school children (teenagers) arrived and it was chaotic. They used bad language and were like a plague if locust in the self serve restaurant. It really spoilt my holiday and I was extremely disappointed. Someone said that it was a back packers hotel. There was no mention of this when I booked. The room was nothing like the picture of a superior room as shown on line.
On the plus side our tour guide went above and beyond her duties.
She was excellent. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the awful hotel, as the tours were very good and worth the money.

Comfortable beds
The rooms in Hotel Cabin are small - however my room (at the back) was very quiet and the bed was really comfortable so I have no complaints. The staff I found were very helpful and friendly. Our tour guide Rosemary was outstanding - ensuring everyone felt safe and comfortable.

I've travelled with Newmarket before so…
I've travelled with Newmarket before so knew I was dealing with a long established & trusted company. There were some hiccups & changes to the holiday to Sardinia I've booked but they were ironed out. Lucy was very helpful. I booked online, saved £275 & got a donation for my charity by booking through easyfundraising!

Booking was easy
All done online. The website is easy to navigate and holiday detail good. Booking and paying the deposit was easy, and the initial documents came through a few hours later.
Let's hope the holiday and hotels are just as treble free and good.

Bonnie a good listener
A week before we depart for South Africa some info was missing online. I had tried phoning the given number the day before but was connected to an agent
who was a total waste of time would not take my details told me email the wrong department.
Today was totally different, was connected to Bonnie
who updated my insurance details and reissued the atol certificate as the original flights had been changed from Virgin to British Airways.
Now I am ease with the online booking info and look forward to travelling with confidence thanks to Bonnie who was willing to listen and act immediately.
This lady deserves recognition for her excellent service.

Booking experience
Billy was very helpful by talking us through the options for Portugal and Turkey. He called back on 2 occasions at the agreed time and made it easy for us to book. We'll definitely use Newmarket again!

Only 3 stars as the hotel cabin let it…
Only 3 stars as the hotel cabin let it down. The tours were 5 star with the travel guide was very knowledgeable and informative.
Rosemary out tour leader went over and beyond her duties with making sure everyone was safe and having a great time.
Rosemary has a 10 out of 10.

A worrying detail
A worrying detail - Our accommodation page in the booking confirmation states 'mixed' board ?
The full description however clearly gives Half-Board.
When I raised this point with Lucy (the booking clerk)
she reassured me that 'mixed' had been a programming error and the full description should be
Half-Board as stated in the brochure. Would you please confirm this clearly in writing.
Otherwise everything was fine.

Parking booked for wrong month
Car parking was booked for wrong month by first representative, good job we checked the date - second call the representative was hard to hear, and we were not confident with but sorted out the problem

Pre booking questions
Rang first thing on the Monday morning and was greeted by a very cheery Danielle. All questions I had were answered to my satisfaction. Rang back after making a decision to book the holiday and asked to speak to Danielle as she had all the info as didn’t want to repeat it. Have to say she rang back not long later and the holiday was booked. Have to say it is very easy and if some info wasn’t to hand i could advise Newmarket when I had it.
All in all a pleasant experience again as booked holidays with them before.

I spoke to Megan by telephone, all the questions I asked, Megan was able to answer. When staff know the answers to questions that might be asked, it gives you confidence in booking with them.

The representative I spoke to first was…
The representative I spoke to first was in South Africa. There was a time lag on the conversation, which combined with a heavy accent, made it very difficult to hold a conversation, and at one point I nearly gave up. She was however helpful and we got there in the end.

I booked our holiday by telephone
I booked our holiday by telephone. This was very good and Amy was great. Emails prompt and clear.
Sadly,I found that trying to pay my deposit almost traumatic!
The automated system wouldn’t allow me to pay it. After14 missed calls and so many tries I managed to speak to a pleasant young lady who took my payment. I’ve never had this experience with your company and hope not to again.
